Organic veg box delivery: tell me please

After thinking about it for a couple of years I bit the bullet and ordered a box of organic veg. It came today and the quality looks lovely but I'm in two minds: their environmental credentials look great but if I bought organic produce from the supermarket I'd save quite a bit on a like for like basis and it would come with the other shopping so one journey saved.
Are you pleased with your veg box? And does anyone have figures for the impact of veg boxes with recyclable packaging vs supermarket organics??

We had lovely chard for dinner which I wouldn't have bought myself so there's a positive for a start!

No I didn't like it because it came with random cabbages that I don't eat...nobody in my family does. There were too many carrots filling it out. I prefer to buy veg fresh and every couple of days to suit what I'm cooking.

We get a veg box. It comes in a cardboard box which is returned each week. Whenever we order organic from the supermarket it gets substituted for non organic products which I think will be because the orders are picked before the organic stuff is delivered. We like to think we are supporting our local farm small business. The quality is absolutely fantastic and we get items and varieties I've never seen in shops. We do like pretty much all the veg though, and also get milk, eggs, yogurt etc from them, all produced within a few miles from home, and delivered with a smile by electric vehicle.

I like our organic veg box. It's not cheap but I also think I save money by not getting tempted to buy other things at supermarkets. Slightly annoying that you get things you dont like and cant sub. Green credentials overall seem good and I like ethos of company riverford. No food transported by planes etc lots of recyclable things and it's also supporting local economy
