Recommend a book/series for me to read please?

I'm reading a lot at the minute and I've just finished a series so now looking for something else to read.

Over the last few months I have read:

• the Joe Ledger series
• the Rot and Ruin series
• Larisa Ione demonica series
• Jeaniene Frost night huntress series plus spin-offs
• Keresley Cole immortals after dark series
• Bill Bryson home and body books
• Cartland Moran's anthologies and her newest book
• the Skullduggery Pleasant series
• the Witcher books
• the Outlander books
• Kelly Armstrong women of the otherworld series

I'm averaging around 4-5 books a week and I'm not sleeping much thanks to DS so plenty of reading time available.

I don't know many of those books you mention but judging by the titles, am wondering if you would like Charlaine Harris's books? She' best known for writing the Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire mysteries (True Blood was based on them) but she's written several other series as well.

They should have been on my list, I read them over the summer

Could be overdue for a re-read though.

DS (17) loves the Sebastien de Castell Spellslinger series - I've never read them but he raves about them. I only mention them because you've listed Skullduggery Pleasant which he also loves.

Have you ever read Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series? I always recommend them - they are an easy, laugh out loud funny read, and there are LOADS of them. I mean, nearly thirty.

Discworld! Such an amazing universe and loads to read if you take to it. I'd have a look at one of their suggested reading flow chart things to decide where to start.

The Magicians Apprentice series might appeal as well.

Possibly a bit different but the Flashman novels by George MacDonald Fraser will keep you going for a week or two.

Have you tried the Poldark novels? They're pretty good (better than the telly version).

Cormoran Strike series is really good and the latest one is really long!

The Wayfarers series? I agree, I liked that a lot.

The Invisible Library series by Genevieve Cogman is one of my favourites.

Also recommend John Scalzi's Interdepency trilogy and the Embers of War series by Gareth Powell.

I loved the Wayfarer series, to echo PP.

Second Jim Butcher (the Dresden Files), and the Dorothy Dunnetts; both series. I've been reading the Lymond Chronicles since I was 19; I reread them every couple of years. I'm 55 next week, and still find something new in them each time.

Hillary Greene series by Faith Martin

Detective series set in Oxford. Not sure if your thing, but really easy and good to read. Think there are 19/20 books.

If you do like her, she's also written some other series which are really good.

I should say that most of those have a crime type theme, some have a historical aspect up them too. I'm not much for fantasy or science fiction. I was thinking more if volume of books, seeing as you're a prolific reader.
