How to clean an oven grill

Sorry if this is a stupid question!

Can anyone suggest a really good way to clean the grill and get all the fat that's stuck to it off?

My grill is smoking when I turn the oven on and I think it's because I tried to make some roast potatoes recently and the fat spat all over it.

Any recommendations of how to do it and what good products would be very much appreciated!

Get yourself some Lakeland oven cleaner , this one will do the job very well
www.lakeland.co.uk/4972/Oven-Mate-Oven-Cleaning-Gel-500ml-Brush-and-Gloves-Cleaning-Kit?src=gfeed&ef_id=:G:s&s_kwcid=AL!49!3!!e!!o!4584276306776839!&gclsrc=aw.ds&msclkid=d703800837441e274f6cdfffbf5c9f87

But if you want to do the shelves as well there is this bigger kit ,
www.lakeland.co.uk/25695/Oven-Mate-Complete-Deep-Clean-Oven-Kit .
All you need to do is paint it on thickly leave it for a while ( I leave mine while I go out to work but a hour or so will do most times ) and wipe it off , the only other thing you will need is lots of kitchen roll or cloths you can chuck out .
There is no smell to it but it is caustic so dont get it on your skin.
One bottle is enough to do my eye level grill hob and over two times

It is also good at cleaning glass like pyerx but dont use it on your pans and metal roasting tins .

Happy cleaning Smile
