Feel uneasy but should I?

My child started online learning today with some live zoom lessons, they were brill. But the school have tweeted still photos of the screen and the teachers doing the lesson and I can clearly see the full names of the children on the photos of the screen and little pictures of all the participants in zoom lesson.

Am I being silly to feel uneasy that my child and his classmates can be seen and with their forename and some of their surnames too?

I presume everyone has given consent? I’d just email the school and share your concern about this. It’s not an unreasonable question to ask.

Everyone should have given consent for that to happen. I think we have an option for social media with name or without name.

I have given permission for the school's fb page and for things like the local paper but twitter feels so 'big'. At least my child's surname isn't on.

Tbh, it's all such a massive learning curve for us at the moment that there will be mistakes.

We've only had 48 hours and it's all gone a bit bonkers.

It's quite possible someone just hasn't noticed or thought about it.

I know I asked a question in our umpteenth Teams meeting yesterday that I thought was really obvious and felt a bit silly asking it because i assumed I'd just missed the memo. But no one else had considered it!

If you're concerned about it, speak to the school. Just be kind when you do, we're already on our knees and we're only 3 days into this term! 🤣

Our school have said in the online learning rules that no screenshots of zoom lessons are to be posted on social media or online due to safeguarding.
