Can you get from Facebook messenger back to the ad in marketplace that you are discussing?

I'm looking for something in Facebook marketplace and message a number of people to check availability and offer a price.
Eventually someone will reply to me and I want to go back to the ad to check the details but I don't seem to be able to do that from the messenger chat.
Am I stupid or is this not possible?

you can do a facebook search there is a search facebook bar on your page that might work

To go back to the advert you've been messaging about......
Goto Market in Facebook app (not messenger) click onto your Profile Icon, then click Inbox, there you will find the conversation. When you click on the conversation, it opens up a combined advert/chat history, there you'll see the original advert.

@Kev98 THANK YOU! I know you used to be able to click on the advert in a messenger message but that option disappeared, infuriating!

The crucial thing to do is to SAVE any ad you are interested in. I appreciate it may be too late now. IF you have done this, you can go back to your saved items in Marketplace. Then click on 'message seller' and your previous conversation will pop up. Infuriating, isn't it?

Going thru Facebook app doesn’t work either to get to the marketplace item. Used to work. Why would they make it harder than it used to be?….

Thanks Kev98 for the tips..it works now and can get to the original ads by clicking the title.. Facebook App->Marketplace->your Profile icon ->Inbox ->Messages---->Click on the title...there we go.👌

Go to market place
Click the person top right for you
Click in box
choose message
Click marketplace listing
Photo will appear.
