Heating oil prices going to tank or not?!

In the first lockdown oil prices dropped massively....anyone think it’ll happen again? I do see that last time lockdown was more ‘worldwide’ which pushed prices down and this time it’s mainly us so maybe it won’t happen🤷🏼‍♀️....Anyone here an oil trader who can give me a look into their crystal ball?...or just your best reasoning will do!!

I have just ordered at 34ppl. I got 19ppl last year but even at 34 it’s still relatively cheap.

I don’t think prices will come down this time. Winter is when everyone will need supplies and I think demand is likely to be higher until the Spring.

What PP said.

First lockdown was a time of year when prices are usually going down (warming weather). June is often the cheapest month. Now we are in time of year when people must use their oil. Adjusting for seasonal trends (every year), I wouldn't expect prices to drop in next 2 months.

Thank you! Don’t suppose your supplier at 34ppl is a national friendsoneuptown? The first one I just called quoted 39 and that’s for 2000L!!

I've just ordered via the Oil Club, and my rate was 35p if any use?

We use an oil club attached to our village primary school.

The price drop in March was nothing to do with lockdown, it was because of a price war between Saudi Arabia and Russia.
