Didriksons coats - sizing?

Can anyone give any guidance on whether Didriksons coats are true to size and if they are generally sized to allow a thick jumper (hoodie/fleece) underneath? I’m trying to work out whether or not to size up.

They are true to size but if you size up you can wear more layers underneath.

I have some that are my size and a couple that are a size larger that I bought for more strenuous activities at the time.

It might depend on your shape and the length of the coat. I've just bought one and had to get an XL, which is roughly a 16 to get it to fasten round my arse, even though I wear size 14 skinny jeans.

www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/p/didriksons-womens-ilma-parka-2-A4414502.html?colour=124 I paid £130 for this in a shop, which was good as I could try it on.

But I'm quite pear shaped so there's loads of room to wear a short fleece underneath. I also like all the pockets. There's a pocket inside that fits an OS map, also a key pocket and 4 zippable pockets on the outside. Means I can go for a short to medium walk without having to take a bag.

I have long arms and they do have long enough sleeves so that may be a factor for you.

I think they are snug
