They should have been clearer from the start

I mean, when the news broke we were not well informed. They knew about this virus long before they started telling us, and then I remember not knowing what to do in shops and didn't start wearing a mask until it became enforced.

We should have been wearing masks from the start and we should have been given solid information instead of it being drip fed on the news which to me caused confusion.
I was shopping in IKEA with my daughter this week. There were people still not wearing masks and we saw lots of heated nasty arguments between folk with one woman telling a man to go and die. Later at the checkout people shouted at a young couple with a baby for not wearing masks.

I still do not think everyone gets what is going on and I blame those in charge who should have been more proactive much earlier by getting the message across in a way ordinary people could fully understand.

I agree. They should have had a better system for masks.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it?

The messages have been pretty clear for months, what is there to not understand? Hands, face, space. The less social contact the better. Don't do unnecessary things.

If you are so concerned why did you go to IKEA last week with your daughter?

Plus why not post the in the coronavirus topic?

I work in a shop. One that's closed at the moment. I can honestly say that doing it all drio drip drip just made it worse.

When we re ropened in June we had to try and change age long habits of the customers. We just managed to get them to distance fir the most part then they brought in masks, when they started wearing masks it made the distancing harder.. then of course they brought in trac amd trace , so when they thought they were going to be notified they then couldn't have given a crap about masks or distancing.

Not only did every visit then almost turn into a confrontation, no matter how polite you were , because you have to bombard them.with masks distancing and giving details all of which took longer than some of the customers even spent in the shop

Would have been easier if it had all been done from the start. The abuse staff get for enforcing new rules that half of then even have no idea about ir pretend to not know about is unbelievable. Dont get paid enough for that crap
