Lumea - advanced, prestige or something else entirely?

Does anyone have a Philips Lumea? If so, do you know if the advanced or prestige is better? Does anyone have any other brands they love? Im looking for all stories, good and bad, about at home hair reduction.

Im hoping to slay the hairy beast (aka me) this year Grin

Lasers come in two categories, the hair dryer size and the washing machine size.
Inside the same category, the difference is minimal. At home, the Lumea don't really do anything different from one to the other types. Every hair and skin is unique. It will depend how dark the hair is compared to skin, how young you started layering and so on.

The home devices slow growth . Even a salon machine doesn't destroy them completely.

I've had a Lumea for a couple of years and and have found it brilliant. However, I do have the ideal combination of pale skin and dark hair.

I can't remember which model, it does legs, armpits and bikini line, but not face, it wasn't the cheapest model but certainly not the most expensive at the time.

I bought a Prestige over a year ago and always recommended it when I saw threads on here, however, I have been burned by it and left with permanent scarring on my legs. It was less than a year old and no obvious/visible fault with it. I am still waiting to hear from Philips about it, but please be careful.
