Fuck it, when the fairy lights and tree comes down I need some pretty non Christmas fairy lights in my life. Anyone got any good battery operated or mains heat round nice lights? To hang on a wall/stairs/shelves/vase anything?

A site called Cable and Cotton was recommended on another thread I saw.

Quite a few people wanting to cheer themselves up with lights.

Thanks, I was trying to remember that name from years ago! Will take a look.
If you know any other threads to check out please let me know.

Check out lights4fun - I ordered some lovely wooden star garland lights from there and I’ve kept them up!

I would like to recommend a seller I got some beautiful lights from on Etsy called FlowerWithMe. This is a sample of their work

There isn't much on their page at the moment but I believe they do custom work.

SunKeepsShining · 05/01/2021 12:12

Maybe I just need to reuse the Christmas ones.
Although those cable and cotton ones look lovely, need to justify them. Will have a look through Etsy thanks

I got some pretty star lights from Amazon for the front porch. The timer is set for 6 hours on,18 off; and they're still going 3 weeks after hanging them. I'm going to leave them up until the batteries run down, just to see how long they'll last.

SunKeepsShining · 05/01/2021 17:26

Oo @sueelleker have you got a link? We’ve got some battery operated on the same times and they are properly genius

SunKeepsShining · 06/01/2021 22:57

@QueenPawPaws have you got a link for the not on the high street ones? My search there just comes up with upturned bell jars of fairy lights!

Our main ones for the front of the house had a few bits not working, my mum didn’t want to get rid of them so has doubled them up around the back because she loves them 😂

Mylittlesandwich · 06/01/2021 23:10

We've taken down the much loved tacky coloured Christmas fairy lights and ran a very large set of warm while ones instead. They were given to me and there's more of them than I bargained for so they've gone wound the room 3 times. DS loves them and they're a cosier light than the big light. They possibly don't look that good but who is visiting me anyway?

QueenPawPaws · 06/01/2021 23:10

@SunKeepsShining they don't have them now - I just logged in to check and it turns out I've had them 7 years!!
They were by primrose and plum and called "glass lantern fairy lights"

Second pic is the cable and cotton ones

What a bout a twig tree for the dining area or hallway. They look so pretty lit up and great for all year around.

SunKeepsShining · 06/01/2021 23:55

@QueenPawPaws they are lovely!
I think I’m going to have to get some cable and cotton ones if can decide what colours I want.
@Mylittlesandwich sounds perfect! And yup who’s going to be coming into see you.
