Specsavers lockdown?

Hi, not sure if this is the right page for this.

I'm supposed to go to specsavers for an appointment at 10am in the morning but with this lockdown will they still be open?

I think they'd be open. We've been in lockdown for 3 weeks in Wales and i have taken my daughter to specsavers twice during that time

They stayed open previously. Dh due to collect new glasses next week so certainly hope so.

I have the dentist at 8am, wondering the same 😩

We have an appointment to collect new glasses tomorrow and we'll still be going. My DD broke her glasses lots during the last lockdown and we were still able to go in. They have all the measures in place anyway, hardly any customers in at a time, temperature taking on the door, hand sanitizer ect ect.

MyDD works at our local spec savers....she is classed as a key worker....they are an essential service...... they stayed open last time round.

What about dentists? I’ve finally got an appt later this week cancelled from March!

Just been through the government document looking for opticians - husband has an eye appointment next week. They're not mentioned but Google tells me they remained open in the November lockdown.

Dentists are specified as remaining open.

I went to an opticians appointment during the November lockdown. They were definitely still open at that point in time.

Thank you, that’s a relief

Thank you everyone! Looks like they're definitely staying open for everybody but I might ring first thing just to double check.

Just got back from our appointment, business as usual.
