If you were 40 recently, what was your favourite gift?

My friend is turning 40. We haven't seen each other for at least 10 years but keep in touch via messages, so I don't know up to date tastes in jewellery or clothing. I usually send her something for her birthday, had been planning to suggest a meet up this year but obviously won't happen.

What did you receive that you loved this year (bonus points if it is postable!)

neal's yeard cheeses of the month.

My mum gave me a 2nd hand shopping trolley for my 40th, I use it every day!

Tickets for shows, gives me hope that the world will get back to normal.

Mine was all the photos over the years on a memory stick - scanned in all the real oldies and took recent ones from phone/social media

A hamper of something I like very much!
A birthday cake (so I didn't have to make my own!)
A meal out (was allowed then)

A voucher for a session to pet a tapir after lockdown is over (probably a bit niche though).
