M&S in store coffee machine, how does it work

Hi, I just noticed a big coffee station in my local m&s. Feeling daft that I didn't stop and nosy at the time.
Do you pay at the machine, pay at the till etc

You pay at the till.
Take it in its cup with a lid to the till and tell the staff member what drink you've got.
I don't know how it works at the self service tills
It's nice coffee and good value (compared with other chains).

In better times, you can use re-usable cups

Fab it's a hospital and the cafe is super slow so I'll do this next time.
