Are your dc's primary schools opening this week, and will you be sending them in?

DS is due back tomorrow due to a pre-planned teacher day. Awaiting news from the school as to whether they are opening tomorrow. (We are in the midlands).
There are some schools in the area that are closing because they don't have enough staff coming back.
I will definitely be sending DS in if the school opens the gates.

My DS's school is closed as not enough staff, we're in East Midlands. I would have sent them back if open.

For the love of god how many of these threads do we need
There are dozens
And there's a covid section as well
This place has become one all mighty covid board

I would have sent DD in if the school was open. Have requested a key worker space but doubt we will get it despite being two key workers.

Yes and yes but lucky to be in an area with low rates. I'll be kind of relieved if they close at some point but also gutted for my kids as they love school.

Open but not sending my child in this week. We have many covid cases and isolation periods before Xmas , and the area lots of parents don’t follow social distancing or tier rules . Will wait for Xmas mixing covid cases to become apparent at school this week no doubt , will reassess at the end of the week. I will tell school we are isolating.

@Hobnobswantshernameback
I know! Why can't folk just contribute to existing threads? I've hidden about 20 of them yesterday. Off to hide this as well.

Helocariad · 04/01/2021 10:19

We're in mid Wales. It's inset days Mon-Tue and home learning for the rest of the week for YR up to Y10. Y11-13 are in school. Situation to be reviewed for next week but info atm says schools are reopening in our LA on the 11th.

I'm not happy with the disruption but support the decision taken.

Apologies if this is a repeat.

Anywho DS's school is closed, and we are back to home learning poor sod. Grin

Fyi-have started many a non-covid thread with precisely 0-4 replies so don't blame me for the fuck all else that people are talking about.
