Feeling guilty I didn't send 3 year old to nursery?

My sister had coronavirus in December so we've had an inkling of how bad it can be. I'm 8 months pregnant and didn't send my 3 year old today....I feel guilty but I know it's what's right for us...I just feel like a bad mother....sorry just wanted to tell someone...

Why do you feel guilty?

I’d keep her home too, she’ll enjoy being with you.

It sounds like the sensible choice in your circumstances.
Take care of yourself.

Don't feel bad, you have done the right thing x

I feel guilty about not sending my DD to nursery even though the nursery is closed Confused. Keep safe. You made the right choice for you and your family.

Don’t feel guilty! I’ll probably keep my primary school age kids off for a few days until things are clearer, too.

Don't worry. Enjoy the day. I nevereven sent my youngest to nursery. She is a super bright, sociable 10 year old! Absolutely nothing to feel guilty about

Guilt is a wasted emotion. Get on and enjoy your extra time one to one with her before the baby comes along.

You have made the right choice Thanks

LizzieSiddal · 04/01/2021 09:09

You’d feel more guilt if you send her and then you somehow end up catching the virus!

You’re protecting her and your family, so stop feeling guilty.

Sarcobaleno · 04/01/2021 09:10

Do not give this another thought. It's a lovely thing to have some special days before the baby comes anyway. Enjoy your day.

Jobsharenightmare · 04/01/2021 09:36

Very sensible in my opinion OP! Nothing to feel guilty for.

Etinox · 04/01/2021 09:42

Very sensible. Mine have long left school and nursery but I don't think I'd have sent them in today.

JimmyTheBrave · 04/01/2021 09:48

I've done the same OP, don't feel guilty. I'm working from home so there'll be little in the way of activities led by me and a whole lot of Disney +.

It'll be fine and it's not forever.
