Does anyone else have a child who is bored over these holidays?

My 10 year old is really bored. Prefers to stay in bed as doesn't want to even play on her iPad or read it draw or do anything really. She says she's not feeling unwell, she just says she is bored. Is she alone in this? I can't seem to encourage her to want to do anything.

I bet you a tenner that nearly everyone who posts on this thread have DC who are totally bored.

Absolutely, I'm bored too! All my days out/activities were cancelled.

But are they so bored that they're just in bed all day?

What happens if you take her out

Bored yes but surely staying in bed all day makes it worse?

I would be insisting she was out of bed and doing things. Maybe helping with the cooking, making use of Xmas gifts.

Mine are like that! Do odd things but basically bored to tears

We're just about to do some baking so hopefully that will help
