What do you do at the gym?

I've recently joined one for the classes. Usually I pay as I go but thought it would be worth it to become a member. Obviously, in tier 3, there are no classes so I'm gonna bite the bullet and use the actual gym but I don't know what I'm doing! There was no 'induction' option when I joined online either. I'd rather avoid the exercise bikes because I'll be getting there and back on a bicycle.

Google Strong lifts 5x5. I've been doing it nearly a year (between lockdowns), changed my body, gave me confidence, i feel great. Good luck!

Jog/walk on treadmill to warm up.
Weights room (because I think it's gross leaving everything sweaty if I do cardio first) I do a lunges and squats with one of the big sack bags. Free weights for arms (because the machines are always busy) and planking / attempt to do sit ups.

I then do an hour on an exercise bike. I zone out and can pedal forever without finding it an ordeal.

DH tends to just rotate round all the equipment then 'beat' his time/distance on the next (infrequent) visit.

I usually just do cardio - 10 mins bike, 20 mins treadmill and 15-20 mins on the cross trainer.
