Plan international - would anyone recommend donating?

It’s approx £20 per month which I can afford but just wondered if anyone had any experience? I know it was embroiled in the sex abut scandal a couple of years ago .Can anybody tell me if it’s a genuinely worthy cause?

I have sponsored a plan child ever since I started work. (When one grows up they suggest another one.) I am rubbish at getting in touch but I'm sure the money is more important than crappy letters from a random sponsor. I like their communications and I trust they are doing the best thing with my donations but I don't actually know for sure of course. In recent years they have evolved to focus more on girls which is a good thing imo.
