Mine is +1.50 in one eye and +0.75 in the other with astigmatism as well. I've always been prescribed glasses but rarely wear them to be honest but recently struggling a bit reading some labels on jars etc....my job is mainly a practical job with just a small amount of computer work.

Would you wear them with this low prescription?

@Orange32

Wishwashywoowoo70, my DSs prescription is too high for laser treatment and no permanent procedures would be done until he had finished growing, which would not be till around 24/25 years old so not an option for him.
Aw crap. That's a shame. My eyes were pretty bad and laser was life changing for me so I can only imagine how if affects him. I didn't even realise what I couldn't see until I got glasses when I was 19

@vanillandhoney
That’s good to know!
Has anyone taken any vitamins/tablets for their eyes such as visionace? They seem to have good reviews

Hi,

Just resurrecting this thread in hope that someone could help me out here..

Last weekend I had an eye test at Specsavers. At our specsavers they always give you the hard sale and it drives me nuts, anyway, I had the test and was told by the sales associate that the optometrist had recommended varifocals.

Can someone take a look at my results and let me know their thoughts, as varifocals are pretty expensive, and I don't know if this was part of the sales pitch.

R sph -0.50 / cyl -1.25 / axis 10 / 1.50
L sph -0.75 / cyl -0.75 / axis 110 / 1.50

I also have an astigmatism, but I think the result states this.

Thanks 😊

I can't help with your prescription, but you can but your glasses anywhere.

You're not beholden to where you have your eye test.
For instance, my children are tested at specsavers but I get their glasses from asda, as they are cheaper and include thinning and coatings.

Thank you for replying I have read good things about Asda, maybe I'll try there :-)
