I'm toying with the idea of starting an Open University degree. I'm 46 this year so I need to think about if it will be of any value to me or just an ego boost (if I'm successful).

AnnaSW1 · 01/01/2021 00:37

Just to stay happy and healthy Grin

Tearsfortiers · 01/01/2021 00:37

I've set myself the goal to maintain my weight (I lost four stone in 2020) and to cycle 1200 miles this year. I can do this regardless of Covid and tier restrictions. I'm not making any other plans to go anywhere or travel - they can wait until 2022.

Lose weight (3 stone) and work hard on my business!

ssd · 01/01/2021 00:40

I'd just like to get through it.
And for things to improve for my boys.

BrieAndChilli · 01/01/2021 00:43

Hopefully completing on a house soon! Will have a month overlap between the two houses so can take a bit of time to redecorate etc before moving in.
Other than house stuff I planning to lose some more weight.

middleager · 01/01/2021 00:43

Weight loss
Tackle mental health
Do something about my marriage - unfortunately lockdown and both Wfh has shone a bigger spotlight on the cracks.

olderthanyouthink · 01/01/2021 00:46

Baby #2

Thinking of doing a parenting/child development course

Want to get a few projects going and hopefully make something of them because I don't enjoy my job anymore (don't think I've said that out loud!)

Itmaybeus · 01/01/2021 00:46

Hopefully my operation - been waiting 17 months now (was due to have it at end of march). I have deteriorated massively this year and this operation could stop that however not sure if I'll get any of the health I've lost back so time really is important but because its not an emergency I'm not going to get it any time soon. Also I'll need an itu bed after which is obviously an issue right now.

olderthanyouthink · 01/01/2021 00:47

Oh and straightening of my families financial and long term planing because we are being beaten with the unlucky stick and we can't just be winging it!

Iwillneverbesatisfied · 01/01/2021 00:49

Get a new job that I'm happier in with a better work/life balance
Make and improve friendships
Have signed up to an OU microcredential
Need to lose the lockdown weight so 1.5 stone

relievedlady · 01/01/2021 00:50

Just signed up for two different online courses in readiness to complete a seperate course enabling my normal completely practical job to be flexible and online based because after this year and I dare say more to come the practical option is no longer going to be viable.

I've purchased the necessary tech and software so am all ready to go.

I've also just bought a wii fit because I really need to tackle the two and a half stone weight gain that's been going up steadily for 18 months but really needs to go down now.

2021 will be a big year for my dc as all different but important stages in their lives so I want to be able to support and navigate them through it with a more positive and confident mind set

Cake7 · 01/01/2021 00:50

Loose some weight which is very overdue, hopefully get married and finish my masters degree.

Comradesally · 01/01/2021 00:52

To physically survive and get through the next few months.myself and my immediate family.
Money can be made and lost, houses... Clothes, possessions.. Our health is EVERYTHING... We can do non of the others without it. Once life is gone its gone.

If we get through then I'll focus on other stuff.

NovemberR · 01/01/2021 00:55

Lose weight..I lost three stone last year and still have three to go.

Get some savings and sort my pension out.
Declutter and tackle some of the diy around the house.

Gobbeldegook · 01/01/2021 00:57

I have a holiday booked. I'm not optimistic about it 😢

greenlynx · 01/01/2021 00:58

I want to get through it safely as well. I haven’t seen my parents for more than a year ( they are not in UK) and won’t be able to see them in 2021 so I hope they will go through the year safely as well, they are both in their 80s. DD is in year 11, so exam year and will go to college next year. It will be a big change.
I also need to work on my health: less caffeine and alcohol, more exercises and sleep. I’m not in good shape at all.

CeibaTree · 01/01/2021 01:04

My goals are to have another baby, study hard for my herbal medicine qualification, move house and to keep my family healthy and happy in general :)

DiscoJanet · 01/01/2021 01:07

Cut back on lockdown drinking which has been creeping up most of the year.
Lose a stone, hopefully by doing as above.
Get things sorted to finally break up with selfish lazy nasty DP, after several years of procrastinating for the sake of the kids. That's my biggest mission.

Lillygarden55 · 01/01/2021 01:08

I am hoping that Covid goes away soon so I can travel abroad for IVF fourth round in Spain. 🤞

caringcarer · 01/01/2021 01:19

I was doing quite well on diet, lost over 1 1/2 stones but slipped over Xmas so on about 4th I will get back to diet.

I am going to try to get fitter too. When Xmas tree goes towing machine is coming to front of conservatory.

I am hoping for a holiday in 2021.

I have decided I am going to invext some money into stock market instead of leaving money in building society with hardly any interest.

Sunbird24 · 01/01/2021 01:23

Frozen Embryo Transfer in the hope of becoming a mum, still got 7 to try after the fresh one didn’t work out. Everything else is just business as usual.

SilkiesnowchicksandXmastreecat · 01/01/2021 01:25

Hoping to complete on house sale in January which will give us some money again.

Then I guess helping my children through on - off schooling for however long that goes on, one with SN in y9, one y10.

Maybe some house renovations at our new house like adding a bedroom by changing the stairs or getting kitchen improved. General sorting of house after move.

A holiday somewhere in the summer, looks unlikely we'll be able to to do the Asian holiday we had to cancel last year and may need to be UK again but that's fine.

SomethingsGottaChange · 01/01/2021 01:29

For now...

To stay alive......

Greatconnection · 01/01/2021 09:47
