Is there any point opening a bottle of champagne?

Just want to go to bed and ignore it

I've saved the champagne for happier times (I do have a stand in bottle of cava though).

I'd go to bed if I'd not promised the dcs we'd stay up tbh.

Nah, save it for lunchtime. That's what I'm doing. Tomorrow is another day.

Open it now, don't wait until midnight. This NYE is crap but it's just one night. Have your champagne, I'm sure you deserve it. Xx

DH and I said the same, then a pause of about 5 seconds when we simultaneously said "fuck it" and then grabbed the bottle/glasses...

It's been a shit year but we've decided to celebrate hopefully a much better 2021.

I opened mine earlier this evening. Now halfway down. Will save the rest for tomorrow.

I am opening one and sharing it with DD2 and DS DD1 doesn't drink and dh is having a bad tooth ache sois high on pain killers and not drinking.

I have consumed three churros, half a bottle of mulled wine and quite a few crisps and chocs. And am slightly shitfaced.
