Fireworks been going off here since 8 it's ridiculous, I've had some wine want my bed but DH is really sentimental so staying up till 12 and I really can't be arsed either !

Maybe all us 'Can't be arsed' could do a non Ald Lang whatever and go to bed and read our books together

They are too young to sort themselves out for the night.
They wanted to play Monopoly... I told them they had to tidy the floor first. The delaying tactic is successful.

I'm not a party animal anyway, and always disliked New Year's Eve. This year in particular be I can see little to celebrate. 2020 has been such a monumentally shit year that I am bidding good riddance rather than welcoming in the New Year, which still looks like being a rocky road (though hopefully with an improving picture).

I am in bed with a large brandy and baileys on the side.

All these things like Christmas and NY are just total bollocks.

I am now sat up in bed and have left HIM on it's own. IT won't be happy I am sure to have to "celebrate" on its own.

Can’t be arsed here either! I have a cracking hangover and I’m in the bath. Tomorrow is DH’s birthday and i have left the kitchen in a shit state and haven’t wrapped his presents. I will get up tomorrow and leave him to have a lie in while I wrap things, tidy the kitchen and maybe make a cake. But I need the hangover to go away. I can’t be doing with people messaging saying happy new year until I’ve done all that.

So arsed I can’t get off the sofa even though I really want to go to bed.
