New JSA claim time

Quick question, anyone know how long a JSA claim takes at the moment? DH applied on the 1st of December and hasn't heard anything yet. Man could we be doing with the extra cash.

I probably did mine about 10 days before you, and we received money about a week ago. So even if a back log yours should be soon?

Thank you, thats reassuring. He kept putting off signing on because he "would get something" that was in September...

We had same issue here and in the end I just applied for it. It's not a lot of money but it helps doesn't it!

Still haven't heard a peep. DH says there's no way of checking up on it either.

He will need to ring up. Processing times are actually quite fast at the moment so he needs to chase it up.
