Anyone not acknowledging this new years eve at all?

Single, 2 small DC. Lots of friends having family zoom quizzes, laying out nice buffets etc. I'm getting the dc in bed then reading my book in my pjs.

Anyone else? All seems a bit pointless!

My Dad died Boxing day and my aunt today, both covid related. Staying with my mum who is still poorly after covid. I only had it mild. First New Years Eve without my DH in over thirty years as he is home alone. Bed by ten pm.
