What do I want from waterstones?

I have a £20 waterstones book voucher.
I have no idea what I want to get.

Please hit me with some ideas (now everyone is gonna say "well what do you like" & I just don't know anymore. I feel a bit lost since losing my job tbh), thank you!

Non-fiction: atomic habits by James Clear
Fiction: check out the reading thread, loads of great novel recommendations recently!

Circe by Madeleine Miller if you like a bit of mythology.

A new cook book for culinary inspiration.

I saw "atomic habits" recommended elsewhere but my brain clearly didn't think to remind me! Thank you.

I think if it was just me, a cookery book would be great but the family "know what they like" and rarely deviate. Thank you.

If you’ve lost your job recently, is there something you’d like to get into this year, like gardening or baking or craft, or exercise etc?

There are some really lovely classic hardback editions of eg Rebecca. I'd get a couple of those.

Get the app so you can collect stamps. They have an excellent loyalty card programme and often offer double stamps

WantChewbaccaForGood · 31/12/2020 18:42

Ah bollocks, I didn't know about the stamps, I've blithely ordered Atomic Habits, and that is the end of my giftcard.

I'll try and remember for next time!

Thank you everybody x
