For me it’s Sensations lime and coriander chutney popadom crisps. I can easily eat a bag to myself in 30 minutes Xmas Blush

Also a new discovery the other day was the Waitrose chicken liver pate with brandy and port scooped up onto one of their all butter sundried tomato bites.

M&S Chocolate biscuits

HmmSureJan · 31/12/2020 11:53

Boursin or Castello Blue soft cheese on Carrs cheese melt crackers with red onion chutney. I've eaten them every day since Christmas Eve. I wish I could say I was sick of them in time for starting "Diet Month" tomorrow but sadly I am not and will probably go out later to get more cheese and chutney as I still have an entire box of melts left...

Is that the pate in the little tub with the black sleeve? It's divine. I treat myself to a pot bow and then and eat it with sourdough toast.

My favourite this year has been a pot of creamy stilton and Carr's water biscuits.

Yes, I love it. It's nice on sticks of celery too. And crackers and straight from the pot with a spoon

Antirrhinum · 31/12/2020 12:33

Iceland duck spring rolls. £1 for 10. I daren't buy any more, I can eat the whole pack in one go Blush

Turnedouttoes · 31/12/2020 12:38

@Antirrhinum you’ve just reminded me of the Itsu frozen duck buns. We got a new bamboo steamer for Christmas and in the interests of making sure it works correctly quite a few packs of these have been consumed Blush

We love those poppadom crisps in our house too - I sometimes mix a tsp of mint sauce into some Skyr/Greek yoghurt to create a quick and easy dip for them.

I’ve got LOADS of our Christmas snacks and chocolate left over this year, for some reason we just haven’t eaten as much. But DH loves the chocolate cinnamon crisps from M&S.

OhToBeASeahorse · 31/12/2020 13:52

Cadbury Orange Buttons. Don't usually like Cadbury but they are fit as.

Deathraystare · 31/12/2020 13:58

I have always loved Brandy Snaps. Too lazy to whip cream, so 'fed' double cream through with a knife!

Also ate rather a lot of clotted cream. I have just confessed that to my colleague!

Did not enjoy the lobster vol au vents. I would have liked prawn ones more.

I have yet to eat my small stollen but i am sure I will love it!!!

This is my new love. Demolished most of them at work yesterday, just the last few for today!!!

LadyOfTheCanyon · 31/12/2020 18:50

Baileys cream -on toast with raspberry jam on top. Like a slightly boozy breakfast scone.

Jacobs Treeslets

They are good. But it’s been Aldi prawn cocktail hand cooked crisps for me.

I’ve done 3 bags in 2 weeks with minimal help from the kids Blush

I may need to try this, in the interests of research. I’ve loved the individual lemon tarts from M&S, the square one bite ones - so fine. And their party food chicken Kievs, the right balance of garlicky chickeny goodness.

PurpleDaisies · 31/12/2020 18:58

Marmite crackers.

Itsnotalwaysme · 31/12/2020 18:59

Highlanders black pepper crisps. Yum

Turnedouttoes · 31/12/2020 19:01

I’ve just had the party food M&S volovants - coronation chicken, cheese & caramelised onion and smoked salmon & cream cheese.

I might have eaten all 12 while DP was in the shower Blush

Another vote for Baileys double cream. Finished the pot of yesterday - didn’t put it anything, ate it straight from the pot!
LadyOfTheCanyon · 31/12/2020 19:02

Oh for the days of chicken Kievs! Husband is vegetarian which makes me vegetarian 99% of the time. I'm absolutely happy with that but man, did I used to love a chicken Kiev back in the day.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 31/12/2020 19:03

I mean, when I'm not spreading it on toast I'm spooning it out of the pot with a finger. I'm a savage. I've hidden it at the back of the fridge because DH will NOT understand.

Ragwort · 31/12/2020 19:04

I used to love those cheese footballs Blush bought a pack as soon as they appeared in the shops but they must have changed the recipe - not nearly as nice as they used to be.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 31/12/2020 19:04

In other news, mojitos made with Prosecco rather than soda water. You're welcome.

isseys4xmastinselcats · 31/12/2020 19:06

aldis apple stollen mini bites they are very morish

Clevererthanyou · 31/12/2020 19:10

My homemade shortbread mini houses for sitting on the rim of cups Grin
Savoury wise it has to be ASDA extra special brie de pays with Carrs water biscuits. It's by and far the nicest I've ever had and I'll miss it. There's a deer farm near where I live that makes their own chutneys and it's a delicious combination.

AutumnVibes · 31/12/2020 19:18

You can get vegetarian (I think vegan actually) chicken kievs from M&S and they’re actually really quite nice. I’m a vegetarian who misses them and these scratch an itch now and again.
