Her mortgage paid off and £10k to do whatever she wants with, on the condition that she and her DH don't tell anyone.

It's a £5.2m jackpot last time I looked.

I haven't got a best friend Sad

I'd give my school £100,000 though.

Gonkytonk · 30/12/2020 17:44

£200k to do with as she wishes.

Theunamedcat · 30/12/2020 17:45

I would buy a house by the school so she can stop asking everyone to take her kids in for her

I'd pay for her divorce, exh is being a prize prick and she deserves to be free of him beyond their children.

Plonque · 30/12/2020 17:50

My best friend once let slip that she'd expect someone to stump up for everything (like... every last thing!) if she knew they'd won the lottery so I'd be keeping my trap shut.

Sarahandduck18 · 30/12/2020 17:51

Therapy.

katy1213 · 30/12/2020 17:51

£10,000 is a bit mean to your best friend!

Purplewithred · 30/12/2020 17:51

£250k so she can retire, or leave her partner if she wants.

Nomnomarrgh · 30/12/2020 17:52

A million pounds because she is the best person in the world and the only friend who stood by me when I escaped my husband.

HirplesWithHaggis · 30/12/2020 17:52

Her mortgage paid, and the money for the house she wants to build. And maybe a divorce.

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 30/12/2020 17:52

I would buy a house and keep it secret, somehow do it through a solicitor and keep my name out of it, and gift it to her, then I would say the same person did it for me too which would explain my new mansion.

My best mate is gobby as anything and couldn't keep a secret and I wouldn't want anyone knowing Grin

TheQueef · 30/12/2020 17:53

Straight half.
We made an agreement.

ImRealHonest · 30/12/2020 17:54

50/50 and we go and run a mountain retreat - she does the yoga and healthy shit, I run the bar.

bumpdownthestairs · 30/12/2020 17:54

Anything she wants because she's lush!

She said mortgage paid off too.
FiveFootTwoEyesOfBlue · 30/12/2020 17:55

She's single and older and has no chance of ever buying her own home, so I would buy her a house, maybe a 2 bed cottage. I would really enjoy choosing one with her.

I'd tell my kids to only mention to people that we can afford a bigger house because of some vague inheritance and not mention lottery. I'd tell no-one how much I had received.

SimonJT · 30/12/2020 17:55

He has that sort of money, so nothing 🤣

Mommabear20 · 30/12/2020 17:55

Whatever it cost to set up her dream business as I know she'd never take that risk with their hard earned money in case it didn't work. And an all expense paid trip to New York for the 2 of us as we've always wanted to go, we'd just leave the men to fend for themselves and send the kids to grandmas 😂

sanityisamyth · 30/12/2020 17:57

Depends how much you win! If I won a million I'd give each of my closest friends £25k. Enough to pay a chunk of mortgage/debts off, upgrade the car and have a holiday etc. If I won more than that, I'd scale up accordingly.

SassenachWitch · 30/12/2020 17:57

I’d pay her mortgage off, take her on lots of lovely holidays, be generous with gifts, and pay for our nights out etc, but I wouldn’t give her a lump sum.

OhMsBeliever · 30/12/2020 17:58

Pay her mortgage off or buy her a house, whichever one she wanted to do. Buy her a new car. Book a holiday (when we're allowed) for us to go on together.

sanityisamyth · 30/12/2020 17:58

I'd also give some to my parents by on the condition that my sister does not get a penny, directly or indirectly. Ever.

WhatTheFoot · 30/12/2020 18:01

£5.2m you say?? Hmm..I would give my best friend the £200,000, her mortgage is approx £125,000 , I would make it conditional that she paid that off, so it would make a huge difference to her family.

iftherewereahorseyinthehouse · 30/12/2020 18:01

A million. It's an agreement we made many years ago when we were both skint.
