Her mortgage paid off and £10k to do whatever she wants with, on the condition that she and her DH don't tell anyone.

It's a £5.2m jackpot last time I looked.

Mortgage and debts paid off
500,000 cash

custardlemontree · 30/12/2020 20:25

Nothing.

allthewaterinthetap · 30/12/2020 20:25

I'm not sure exactly what she would want, but I'd do that - my best friend is my sister.

easterbuns1 · 30/12/2020 20:26

If I won 5.2 million I’d give my best friend a million. She’s my rock and helped me out so many times, I’d love to give her a big chunk to show her how much I appreciate her.

Trailing1 · 30/12/2020 20:27

I would buy her a house. She has struggled alot in life and owning her own place is her dream.

AdoraBell · 30/12/2020 20:27

Mortgage paid off and a few holidays. She’s an avid traveler and takes her daughter with her since becoming a mother.

Floralnomad · 30/12/2020 20:30

My sister is my bf and she would get 1/2 , out of what’s left of my 1/2 i would pay off the mortgage of another old friend and give her some money as well .

mangothoughts · 30/12/2020 20:31

£5.2m won't go that far after family so best friend will get taken on a fab holiday and I'd maybe pay for something I know that has cost her and her husband thousands over the past few years.

delilahbucket · 30/12/2020 20:31

She gets the house in the country she would dearly love to buy 😁

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 30/12/2020 20:32

1st. Not sure how much it would need to be, but enough so her & her DH could hand in their notice (both work in schools) they're mortgage free, but have 3 teenagers.

2nd. Buy myself a house where she lives (and where I used to live) so I can spend proper time there with her. Then see what she wants to do - move into my house & leave her bloody awful DH. Or stay with him
& we travel a LOT.

I couldn't give my 3rd bf what she needs & money wouldn't really help 😢

£5m doesn't go far enough!!

But I wouldn't say 'no '

WunWun · 30/12/2020 20:32

I don't think I have one, so nowt.

ImWorriedAboutThis · 30/12/2020 20:37

I have 4 close friends from who I can’t really choose who is my “best friend”, so for all of them I would pay off their mortgages and pay for them and their families to have a lovely holiday. My other friends I would treat to a meal, pay for tickets etc whenever we went out together. My brother would get a big chunk of money.

tea69 · 30/12/2020 20:52

I have 3 really close friends so I'd pay off 1 of their mortgages; buy a house for the second one and give a large amount to the 3rd who doesn't have a mortgage 😁

Cherrysoup · 30/12/2020 20:57

Whatever she bloody wanted, frankly. She’s had a hard few years.

sociallydistained · 30/12/2020 21:02

Half. We have a pact. As it is, she's the only one who plays 😂

Woahisme · 30/12/2020 21:34

I'd gift my best friend a huge chunk, it would be up to her how she spends it..... knowing her she would probably buy a supercar though Grin

I would take considerable amount of time first weighing up what to do with that sort of money. I'm indecisive at the best of times so it would take me a while to decide what to do for best and how much to give to bf. Obvs my family would get a shit load as well.

I see pp day they would pay off mortgage for best friend 1) buy best friend 2 a house etc etc. If I had more than one best friend, I would give them all an equal amount of cash and let them choose how and what they spend it on. Luckily I've only got the one though.
