Deets and Squares

If I said to you Deets and Squares would you know what I was talking about? I first saw it mentioned on a thread in the summer and I had never heard about it before. It has been raised on another thread today. I am just wondering how many people, particularly parents of preteens and teenagers, know about it.

Yes I know. Deets are bank details and squares are debit or credit cards. It's money laundering isn't it?

Yes. I work in education though, and have had several students caught up in it.

Yes. Money laundering targeting young kids with their own bank accounts.

Yes. As a parent and a teacher it's my job to know these things.

I found out about what this term means from a thread on here last year. I had never heard it before and I don’t think since either.
