1 year old making herself vomit

Hi

1 year old always has her fingers in her mouth whenever she is teething, but recently shes been putting her fingers too far in, and yesterday i pulled her hand away and she started laughing.

Since then, shes been doing it non stop and giggling, and shes now thrown up 3 times because shes doing it so much. I dont know what to do.

I keep her occupied with toys, but she will randomly put her fingers in her mouth and next thing you know shes puked everywhere

She has lots of teething toys but im worried because she now thinks its funny and even after throwing up she will try do it again.

Has anyone got any advice :(

Just ignore the behaviour. Remember that everything in parenting is just a phase!

How sensitive is ger gag reflex? Does she often vomit while eating? Is she on solid food or mush?

Just ignore (hard as it is) she does it because she gets a reaction from you. It won’t do her any harm, it just means lots of washing.

It should pass! My kids discovered this during teething and it passed quite quickly. I assume it’s just a new sensation and mine thought it was hilarious as well. Try not to react in any way and keep her somewhere easy to clean.

My youngest went through a phase of doing this. She’s stopped now fortunately (now seems to be keen on burping) and trying to stab herself with a fork.
