Are rubber brooms any good on hard floors?

I'm debating whether it would be worth getting one with wood flooring. No-one in the house has long hair but we do have a cat. I've been vacuuming daily whilst we're stuck indoors but there's still fluff every all the time! Would you recommend a rubber broom?

I use mine to get my long hair out of the rug (I moult like a husky!) and it works like a charm.

I love mine... a double coated long haired dog and double coated Maine Coon cat.. it picks up more that the hoover does!
