Best wine to go with a Double Decker?

Neither of the DCs like them, so DH and I have won one each from their selection boxes - but they should be enjoyed with a drink!

What drink?

Kia - Ora.
It's too orangey for crows. Smile but good with Double Deckers.
Alcohol would just numb the palate.

Too sweet! I’m not sure what I’m drinking now but it’s super with mince pies and chocolate 🥴 it’s white summit...

MichelleScarn · 29/12/2020 20:58

Teen not tern! No bird memories!

I think red wine goes perfectly with chocolate, although I'm currently eating toffifee with Chardonnay! Anything goes at Christmas really! Xmas Wink

ellenanora5 · 29/12/2020 21:03

My mum loves nothing better than a glass of cold beer with a bar of chocolate, KitKats are her favourite but anything chocolate bar related will do.

Sorry can't help with the wine though, enjoy op Grin

Mulled wine would hit the spot

Dobbyhasnomaster · 29/12/2020 21:06

We could be friends. I think red goes best with chocolate. Or maybe rose for double sweet. Enjoy! Microwave the double decker for thirty seconds and you will not regret it!

Rockbird · 29/12/2020 21:07

A cup of tea obviously!

longtompot · 29/12/2020 21:12

A red wine with chocolate. Possibly a nice Malbec.
If I was going for non alcoholic, then a peppermint tea.

Port Charlotte might be even better, or a Lagavulin 16 if you have one !!

DramaAlpaca · 29/12/2020 21:32

Another vote for Malbec with chocolate.

longtompot · 29/12/2020 22:01

Haha, I know, strange concept a non alcoholic drink Wink Though seriously, chocolate with peppermint tea is delicious.

Bloodhoundgang · 29/12/2020 22:03

Espresso martini.

Am an amateur mixologist this week. Problem is you might be too pissed to eat the chocolate after anything I make!
Just have it for breakfast with a coffee

TrainspottingWelsh · 29/12/2020 22:56

Another vote for Malbec. But in a pinch a good merlot will do. Obviously for richer chocolate you'll want decent port.
Alternatively a coffee with Bailey's works well if you're a dipper.
