Adult colouring - Pencils recommendation

I've got some Christmas money to spend and I've already got some WHSmith colouring pencils which are decent so far but I fancy getting some artist ones like Faber Castell Polychromos 36 which the money will cover.

It is a big investment and potentially an expensive mistake, but I do also do a spot of drawing every now and then. One of my new year's resolution is to spend more time doing something like colouring or drawing to take my mind off ruminating while trying to recover from depression.

Thank you in advance.

Prismacolor are really good. Both my daughters use them, both artists

I heard good things about Prismacolor too. Thanks.

These are surprisingly good and only £15.99

I bought them for a project and afterwards passed them in to my son who was an art student at the time and he preferred them to his more expensive ones.

I've got these ones from Amazon- £23 but you can get cheaper sets.

That seems really good value @iklboo. What brand is it and what is the pigmentation like? Are they easy to blend?

It's a brand called TVGO - they're watercolour pencils you can use with or without water and blend very nicely.

Thanks, I'll investigate.

Staedtler triangular ones

I share them with DS’s. None broken, sharpen well and soft enough to get subtle or stronger colouring.

Highly recommend these, there are three different sets with different colours.
