Does anyone do Les Mills spinning classes online?

hovering over the 'buy' button on a spin bike.

Was going to get an echelon as classes look great (I joined a curvy echelon group on Facebook for a nosey) but think I've settled on JTXstudio instead.

Les Mills seems way cheaper for online classes but can't find much info or spin groups on Facebook for them

There's a Les Mills On Demand Squad Official Facebook group if you have it. Theyll be able to advise! I've never done spin.

I do. I find it helpful as I can get used to the music and know what's coming. I can do the same class over and over but I'm dyspraxic and it can take a while for me to get into it. They also do the Tripp which has a vr landscape to cycle through. The angle of the hills tells you what resistance and speed you should have so you can use your own music (although it won't be in time) or listen to podcasts/audio books. Again, dyspraxic, no sense of rhythm so the music doesn't help me, I imagine others will find that strange!

I do the Trip and I really like it. Not so keen on their rpm classes, but I think that's because the real life spin classes I used to do were structured differently (we worked to a specific cadence for each track). Obviously there are loads of other workout styles on LM which gives plenty of bang for one's buck.

Also, look up GNC (global cycling network) on you tube or Facebook. They have lots of cycling training workouts that are really good.

I do and really like them. I do all of the different classes and the variety is great.

Yes! Do their rpm three times a week in my spare room 🤣

Thanks- the info is really useful. I need to shift some serious timber and spinning was the only thing I didn't hate at the gym

Can I ask what kind of bikes you have? I’m looking to buy one but on a smaller budget than the one linked to above...

Candacewasalwaysright · 29/12/2020 20:37

@sanchan11

I have a horizon ic7.9, which I really like. I'm not in the U.K. though, so don't know if that would be available to you

I use the Peloton app on a regular spin bike (plus other classes), but only because my health insurance has been providing free access during lockdown (although I liked it so much, I did pay for 2 months after my first free period lapsed. It's since been extended).

Bike ordered - it's coming on the 6th!

Does anyone know if I can download the LM app through the xbox? The TV in the back room is an arse with stuff like that
