I have a temperamental tumble dryer too, Beko!
Mine will only work with the cupboard door open, the sensor bar given a good rub and still stops randomly!

Ifailed · 29/12/2020 15:34

What does the manual say?

Meowmeow20202 · 29/12/2020 15:36

@Ifailed

What does the manual say?
Nothing about it stopping

Are you drying fleece or synthetic items? If so you need to put it on a timer programme rather than a sensor.

Just wondered, they usually have a trouble-shooting guide.

FingersCrossedForChristmasAll · 29/12/2020 15:41

Does this happen on all different settings and cycles? Try them all before contacting the place you bought it and see what they say.
If it’s a condensing one check the obvious stuff if you haven’t already, does the water need emptying (if it’s a water tank model), is the fluff filter clear, that kind of thing.

FingersCrossedForChristmasAll · 29/12/2020 15:43

Just to add, we have an AEG one which is a total arsehole too for various reasons. The condensing unit at the bottom clogs up so quickly (every week) and has to be washed out regularly or it just won’t work.

Meowmeow20202 · 29/12/2020 15:50

Ive put it on a timed setting so lets see.

When mine did this and I got the man out to look at it, it was because I hadn't cleaned the fluff filter- because that gets full, the dryer thinks it's finished. I cleaned it and it's been fine ever since (although it now needs cleaning out again and should be done monthly!)

TodgerStrunk · 29/12/2020 16:56

I clean the filter. I empty the water tray. I even clean the thing at the bottom that's like a julienne grater.

Still, if I ask it to do more than one load a day it refuses to dry the second load for more than 10 minutes before declaring it finished. Absolute wanker.

It's also started to want me to lean on it for the first couple of minutes after it's been turned on for, well, i dunno -moral support?

Meowmeow20202 · 29/12/2020 17:50

So one load ok with timed program. Second load using mixed load program on now...... i did warn the bastard so that seemed to have worked Blush

You need to show these machines who's boss, and put them in their place Grin
