Aw gorgeous! I have one that comes into the garden Smile

LemonBreeland · 29/12/2020 15:08

There is something so lovely about seeing a Robin. We have blue tits in the garden too, and even though they are colourful, they are not as special as a robin.

Aardvarkitsabloodyaardvark · 29/12/2020 15:08

Aww lovely!

KatherineJaneway · 29/12/2020 15:08

I used to have one that came into the house

jalopy · 29/12/2020 15:08

So confident and cute, although super territorial!!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 29/12/2020 15:10

Lovely!

Robins like cheese - if you want to encourage them they'll even eat it from your hand once they've got to trust you.

Really? There is a robin who comes quite close in mum's garden. Shall I try leaving a bit of cheese on the table?

BexR · 29/12/2020 15:25

My favourite! So cheeky

YorkieTheRabbit · 29/12/2020 15:27

Love birds but robins are my favourite. We have them in the garden, I’ve had them come to eat from my hand, it’s a really special feeling Smile

theThreeofWeevils · 29/12/2020 15:28

Have you got worms? Wink

JimmyTheWeed · 29/12/2020 15:40

Aw lovely. I'm always intrigued by the fact that robins are so often tame and trusting of humans, but have been known to fight to the death another robin that dares to wander into its territory.

Heartofglass12345 · 29/12/2020 15:47

We have one the comes in the garden and loves wet cat food, makes a racket if there's none there for him Grin

bearlyactive · 29/12/2020 16:17

Oh he's adorable!!

Soutiner · 29/12/2020 16:22

I love birds and see a lot of them on my walks but there really is something magical about a Robin.

Confident and curious, bright and alert and the sight of them hopping is uplifting.

We have one that fledged here in the summer.he has disproportionate long legs and whilst has fattened up he/she still gangly so is nicknamed "legs."loves dry mealworms and whilst I'm told ground feeders/table feeder this one's very happy waiting for a go on the three fatball feeders.we have a rabble of sparrows and bluetits too.a simple pleasure this time of year watching them feeding whilst I washing up

IEat · 29/12/2020 16:26

I know people who believe seeing a robin is a sign from a loved one whose died

LyndaSnellsSniff · 29/12/2020 16:52

Oh how lovely! We saw a gold crest on our walk yesterday. I’ve never seen one before. Today we saw a pair of cormorants flying low along the river and a few weeks ago we had a greater spotted woodpecker in our garden.

There is something so very soothing about bird life.

MacDuffsMuff · 29/12/2020 16:55

Gorgeous! 'My' Robin has appeared these last 3 years (all through this summer too) and will sit alongside me in his tree from about 3 feet away. He has a little white splodge on his breast so is very distinctive. He makes me ridiculously happy and I bought him a special treat for a Christmas present! Grin
