How do you break up the day?

Between the walks, board games and house work etc, how do you break up the day?
I've taken to having an afternoon shower, doing my hair, make up and getting dressed up every evening. It makes the evening feel like a night out and not a night in.

Do you mean in the holidays or on a working day?

I had a chronic illness a few years ago and mastered the art of pottering.

Clean a bathroom, have a rest, sit and play with the kids for a bit, make a cuppa, put some washing away, watch some TV, prep dinner, etc etc.

Not exciting but a series of short activities, which achieve basic level of cleanliness and keep things ticking over.

I don't have any routine on a non working day, but one walk is essential. I'd go loopy without my daily walk. I tell me family I'm off for walkies, such is my need. I've got too much physical energy! Housework is manic or zero. Depends on my mood.

Love that idea!

At the moment we have morning screen time/bit of work/admin time for the adults, then family activities/housework/walks/kids play etc, then movies/video games together in later afternoon/evening. Have to have substantial amount of time off screens and preferably outdoors otherwise everyone gets in a bad mood. It’s fine but getting pretty boring now...

It's hard as our clocks are all over the place and having teens means they only surface at the weekend.

I'm off at the moment but even when I go 'back' will be Wfh with kids certainly at home the first week. This gives some routine, but not like being out at school/work.

Sorry, I mean only surface in the afternoon!
