Hyperactive Toddler

My little boy is almost 3.
He's super bright and advanced in all areas.he just picks things up very easily.

However, he just never sits still. He's constantly on the go and demands our attention. We can't have any conversations between adults else he's jumping on the sofa of doing something he knows will give him attention.
He wants us to play with him 24/7 and I get that. It's just when we are playing he'll stick with something for two minutes max. Is this normal?

Does he have any toys/games to amuse him? Sounds like an obvious question but I remember years ago a granny who had no idea what the children played up so badly at her house and it turned out there was absolutely nothing for them to do. I'm not suggesting you don't have toys so much as asking if this happens in your home or someone else's?

I used to rotate the toys for my DS as he was never amused. Jumping on the sofa was unacceptable though, do you teach him no?
