28 weeks pregnant, working and covid

Hi, (based in the South of UK)

I'm unsure of where to turn for advice so thought I would start here. I am currently 28 weeks pregnant with also a 15 month old and a 5 year old. I'm currently working in a very busy supermarket so have my auntie look after my little ones when I'm there.

With the new rule change, I will be travelling to work into a tier 4 zone whilst I live in a tier 2 zone still. My problem is my auntie lives in the tier 4 zone and usually stays at home the 2 nights while I work busy day shifts. I haven't spoken to her yet regarding this but unsure if it could continue.

With my pregnancy getting further along and with the new straint of virus outbreak I'm getting increasingly worried for mine and the babys health whilst working. I have seen lots of women after 28 weeks getting put on furlough etc but I'm unsure of the process. Would my job have to decide this or myself? Without my childcare in place then I wouldn't be able to work. Any advice on this would be great please.

Happy new year!

You can ask to be furloughed until ml starts, but they don't need to agree especially if retail or keyworker, or just start it early.
