My partners mother only wrote the Christmas card to him...to my son . Should i be offended? I'm a bit sad and mystified.

What does your DP say about that?

SoggyBiscuitss · 28/12/2020 19:47

We can only give opinions if we know more.

How long have you been together. If it’s less than a year no don’t be offended. If it’s a long time then yes that’s odd.

Is this the first year she’s done it? Or does she always miss you out?

Is there a background? Does she always treat you differently or leave you out of things? Have you had beef?
Mohave you confronted her?
What does DH or DS think?

Do you like her? Did you send her a card?

Etc.

How long have you and P been together? Do you live together? How often have you met his mother? How much do you talk to her when you do? How old (ish) are you? Does he have children, or a significant ex?

We have been together for 5 years. We dont live together spend 4 days a week together. Due to living 100 miles apart. First year that i have been missed off the card. Haven't said anything to him yet. I dont know what to say.

Does he send her a card and include your name in the from?

Is it possible her memory is fading? My gran keeps putting random names in cards for my brother’s wife.

We know there’s no malice there it’s just she genuinely believes she’s called a certain name

We sent his mom a card off both of us. I don't see her that often. Her memory is definitely not fading.
