HELP - King Edwards Witley and Felsted - Sixth form

Does anyone have first hand experience or trusted feedback on these boarding schools: King Edwards Witley and Felsted?

Unfortunately we couldn't visit them. They are less popular than others and it is difficult to understand how these schools are.

I am particularly interested in getting to know if they are academically good, if there is a good pastoral care and how the facilities are.

We’ve had an excellent experience with KES, although my son is younger. Pastoral care is great, and the school has large grounds and it’s in a good area. Loads of facilities (pool, gym, large playing fields etc.) and activities for evenings and weekends, especially for boarders. No experience of Felsted so I can’t compare I’m afraid. Good luck on your search. It’s so difficult at the minute!

And it's incredible I cannot find anyone who knows/has experience of Felsted ...

Hi, my two cousins went to Felsted - a few years ago now - loved it. Their parents lived in the village and had a huge amount to do with the school. More recently, a friend of my daughter's (from when we lived overseas) came to board to do her IB there - and her brother is still there. Both doing very well and the pastoral care is great too. I have noticed that Felsted are now advertising in this country so there may well be others.

Finally I get in touch with someone who knows a student who has attended/is attending Felsted! Glad to hear their experience is good.

My daughter will have the entrance tests and interviews by mid January.

Yes, happy to answer any questions (or to refer them on and get back to you). I attended various events at Felsted school, and stayed in Felsted numerous times so my experiences are all positive!

My husband went to Feltsted. He loved it.

I am looking some info for KESW, is it very academic school. I am having a son who might be sitting 12+ exam with them. My son is not highly academic but more sporty.
I will appreciate if more info can be shared about its inside culture- is it mixed ?
Is the school more academic or all round ?
