Where do 45 year old men buy clothes?!

45 year old DH is in desperate need of casual clothes and never spends money on himself so I want to do a big online order he can try out at home. Where do your similarly aged men shop?

Mostly Fatface. It's something of a joke amongst his similarly aged colleagues that they arrive in work with some trepidation each morning (casual office) in case they have all turned up in the same outfit because they all hate clothes shopping and it's the one shop that they will reluctantly visit. Small shops, plain clothes and not too much to choose from.

Fat Face/ White Stuff/ JL/ occ Boden with a bit of Orvis for a hunting shooting fishing vibe

Verrucapepper · 27/12/2020 17:37

Independent shops with tiny logos mostly, odd Gant, Barbour, next, golfing brands, Hollister, Abercrombie, Diesel

Superdry, Boden (especially their jeans), Jouies, Jack Wills, Ted Baker

MinnieMountain · 27/12/2020 18:33

Black T-shirts from Uniqlo and expensive Japanese jeans mainly. He swaps the jeans for brightly coloured Noronna shorts in warm weather.

Dh buys clothes mainly in next or H&M.

SirVixofVixHall · 27/12/2020 21:41

John Lewis , the Kin range is good. The occasional thing from COS, Liberty or Mr Porter when feeling flush. Shirts or chinos from Boden sometimes. Land’s End are good quality.

Girlyracer · 27/12/2020 21:42

Ben Sherman, John Smedley, Fred Perry, Atom Retro for some unique bits.

Mycatismadeofstringcheese · 27/12/2020 21:43

Ted Baker and Diesel but only when they have sales.

nevergoingoutagain · 27/12/2020 21:50

My husband shops at EMP...I don't think he's your average 43 yr old though!

LadyGAgain · 27/12/2020 22:39

Spoke and reiss

Fuss · 27/12/2020 23:33

DH 49 is all belstaff long sleeved t shirts, he also wears a lot of Ralph Lauren long sleeved shirts as well.
He lives in various pairs of palladium boots.

He's also been known to shop at EMP for band shirts and the like. He's very much the Bobby Axelrod casual style if any of you watch Billions.

BadLad · 27/12/2020 23:41

Most of my clothes are from Uniqlo.

Smarter stuff I usually get from Paul Smith

Singinghollybob · 28/12/2020 12:52

All Saints and TK Maxx for brands such as Vivienne Westwood, Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein.

OrangeGinLemonFanta · 28/12/2020 12:54

DH looks like he's from the less athletic first draft of the Rohan catalogue 😂

PegasusReturns · 28/12/2020 13:00

Jeans from Diesel and Ted Baker

Knitwear Reiss, Hugo Boss, John Smedley

T shirts gap, Diesel, Barbour, Abercrombie

LNSL · 28/12/2020 15:52

All saints
Boss
Ralph Lauren
Stone Island
Under armour for sports gear

QueenieButcher · 28/12/2020 15:57

Uniqlo. Brilliant for really nice quality and reasonably priced plain menswear - t-shirts, shorts, chinos, jeans, sweaters, knitwear, shirts and coats. Almost all of DH's clothes are from there.

Trying81 · 28/12/2020 16:58

Depends what you want to spend.

Paul Smith, Paul & Shark, Hugo Boss, Lyle & Scott, Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, Fred Perry for your more expensive named choices, but all quite plain from those - nothing too loud or brash

Adidas originals, Nike for sportswear

If he’s on the larger size Jacamo have upped their game with named brands
