Loads of things blowing around outside so keep waking baby DS :(
Not that I can sleep, I keep getting woken up every five minutes by the noise. I always forget how loud wind can be

Yes! Really blowy, checked online, gusts up to 60mph so that explains it. not conducive to sleep at all

helloxhristmas · 27/12/2020 00:18

Yep! It's wild outside and very noisy.

Aberforthsgoat · 27/12/2020 00:19

I think someone’s bins have escaped they are making quite the racket out there
Could really have done with the sleep as well I’m recovering from a tooth extraction and have been feeling knackered and really shitty.
Ah well

Yes, it's blowing straight onto the bedroom window, and the rain is really heavy too.

Flossie44 · 27/12/2020 00:28

Yes!! V scary!!

MiddleClassMother · 27/12/2020 00:29

Yes. It's so noisy tonight, DC are sleeping through though thank god.

Katinski · 27/12/2020 00:30

I'm up late cos I've been watching Victoria Woods on TV, but now the wind is really gusting. It'll be nice going to bed now, warm and cosy, with the storm raging round.

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 27/12/2020 00:30

Yup, it's also whistling through the air thingies in my windows.
Next door have a plastic cover on their garden table and that's being battered too

Kaliorphic · 27/12/2020 00:30

Yes. Worried the gate will smash in the wind. It's not good out there.

colouringindoors · 27/12/2020 00:32

Urgh it's really lashing against my bedroom window

Oliv5 · 27/12/2020 00:35

Yes! Due to snow tonight, hope we wake up to loads seeing as we're stuck in tier 4 anyway (Scotland).

BobbinThreadbare123 · 27/12/2020 00:36

Yep. The wind and rain have been hammering the windows for hours now. We seem to have gone into a lull but I reckon it'll be back. It always worries me - I used to live in a very old house and I would lie awake listening for roof tiles falling off in storms!

caringcarer · 27/12/2020 00:39

Yep, it's bowling a gale in West Midlands.

foreverandalways · 27/12/2020 00:48

Yes...in South Wales and the house is literally shaking atm...rather scary if I am honest

GooodMythicalMorning · 27/12/2020 00:52

Dorset here. scary af. dont like it. so tired I could cry. worried about the bits of our conservatory sat outside ready to go up. hope they don't break!

DaughterOfEvilReindeer · 27/12/2020 00:54

Yep, here in SW London. Poor dog keeps getting freaked out by various noises outside - bins moving, fences rattling - which need to be barked at.

ladybird69 · 27/12/2020 00:55

Gloucester here. It’s blowing a Gale and heavy rain ☹️ We’ve already got floods. Fucking 2020 just can’t go quietly.

Justa47 · 27/12/2020 00:55

Yes I have things blowing a crashing about

torthecatlady · 27/12/2020 00:57

South Wales here. Very strong, but I can barely hear it over dh's snoring AngryHmm

meow1989 · 27/12/2020 00:57

Pretty windy here, but I like it. When I was little if I couldn't sleep, my mum would snuggle up with me and say "let's pretend we're in a caravan and it's raining and storming but we are all cosy and safe", and it makes me think of that.

Same here up north. My dog has been a bag of nerves with the wind tonight. Pacing and whining it was wind roaring down the chimney which first set her off. I even had to put her lead on her and physically take her in the garden out for her nighttime pee Shock
mummyof2lou · 27/12/2020 01:11

Me! Can't sleep as worried about my chickens out there! Sad

CharityEscapeGoat · 27/12/2020 01:14

Yes, same here. Our house is quite exposed, weather wise. Storms are always really noisy. I'm glad we put DD in the back bedroom. We're at the front (top of a hill, overlooking fields) & it really shakes the house sometimes.

NiceGerbil · 27/12/2020 01:19

Not RTFT

My immediate answer is yes. DH has obviously eaten something that has excited his tum and it's all very noisy. He doesn't usually fart much and is confused and embarrassed. I'm just laughing Grin

On the wind outside. It is very blowy and rain sheeting down. So I can't in good conscience put him in the garden.
