If you buy a book on Audible, do you get a PDF version to download and read as well?

That's what I expected to happen having read the instructions and I do get a PDF file but it has only the first and last pages.
I know it's obviously for listening to books but I'd like to be able to read it as well.

Some books have the option of buying the ebook version and upgrading to get the audio version too... but generally most are just the audiobooks, as far as I’m aware.

If you buy the book on Amazon you can quite often whisper sync it to Audible quite cheaply

No you don’t, the printed book (whether pdf or physical book) and the audiobook are two separate products that you would need to buy separately.

No you don’t get a written version, I’m not sure what makes you think you would? It’s an audiobook service. You can sometimes buy a book on Amazon and get the audible version as well, they’ve also recently made Wispersync books for the newest Kindle where you can switch between reading and an audio version on that.

Only if you get an audio book from the Great Courses Series on audible (educational) then you get a pdf text book with reading list and excercises.
