I feel very guilty. But I love musicals.

It has had lots of live recordings today.
Jesus Christ Superstar this morning
Sound of Music
Swan Lake
Les Miserables
Miss Saigon

What a day...ok - so I recorded some of them but watched Jesus Christ Superstar - it's the live one from New York which was great, and now it's Les Miserables 25th anniversary.

Just love musicals...

I often watch the Ballet but not much into the musicals. I also like the music interviews and stuff.

BackforGood · 26/12/2020 18:37

Shame they've put them on all on the same day really - would have been lovely to watch, one a week, over a month.

Deathraystare · 26/12/2020 18:39

Watched Alice's Adventures and then Andre Rieu. I thought he was a lovely man. He took the musicians to a Christmas market in London and treated the all to mulled wine (70!). He also helped by going behind the counter to check the guy pour them out!

chomalungma · 26/12/2020 18:39

I think they are being shown regularly over the week.

chomalungma · 28/12/2020 10:20

Miss Saigon is up there. Definitely gets the tears on.

They shows them throughout the year but show them all again at christmas every year. Iove phantom such fab costumes and great when the former cast members appear at the end.

nitgel · 28/12/2020 10:24

The original cast meet up in miss Saigon too iirc

JonasKahnwald · 28/12/2020 11:00

Yep Jonathan pryce and Lea Salonga come on stage at the end ( with the original Chris) I saw them on stage when I was 16 (so many moons ago!) It was sooo good 🥰

Oh, right. Thanks nitgel.
We're on the most basic TV package with Virgin, and SkyArts only appeared recently - haven't got used to looking at it yet, but am enjoying what I've caught Smile
Sadly though, I can't find any of the Boxing day shows on Catch Up Sad

PandemicPavolova · 28/12/2020 13:45

When is phantom on again please.
