Advert for a catheter?

I am sure a few days ago i saw an advert for a catheter (for home use). As I have to wear incontinence pants and pads ALL the time I thought I would investigate it but cannot remember the make. Any ideas?

Never mind, found it. Does anyone use one? Anyone fit them for others? Are they easy to use???

All catheters are designed for home use. Speak to your incontinence nurse / clinic or the urology team. There's many different types. I haven't seen the advert but I would go through a medical clinic rather than buying off the internet.

Do you mean the type you just insert yourself & use once? As opposed to a catheter that is fitted & drains into a bag?

I’m afraid incontinence is not a clinical reason to be catheterised. The use of catheters hugely increases the risk of infection.

I learnt to self catheterize, taught by my urology team. But it's not something I'd suggest you start unless it's needed as risk of infection isn't worth it. The catheters I use are one use only.

Well obvs I would check with a Doctor first. Gps not particularly interested about it but will try in new Year. They are more concerned about High BP and Diabetes (which of course makes things worse!
