We had the Chocolate Pine Cones from M&S. An expensive treat.
They were delicious and I would definitely repurchase for a special occasion.
We weren't keen on the M&S stuffing.

What were your good buys ?

I bought a Sainsbury’s so organic bronze turkey crown. It was expensive but it was bloody delicious and only took 1.5 hours to cook. Honestly some of the best turkey I’ve had and my mum has bought some expensive fancy birds in the past.

Also Sainsbury’s bacon Mac and cheese bites from their party food range were yum!

M&S. I’ve just had some on sourdough. So good!

Funnily enough the frozen turkey crown i got from Iceland smothered it in butter foiled and cooked for four hours without touching it and it was the juiciest tastiest turkey i have ever had it was lush

I got a box of mini steak and ale and ham and chicken pies from Aldi. They were such a big hit I wished I had got a second pack. They weren't expensive either. I will be picking up another box for New Year. Cheeses always go down well in our house too, as a vegetarian, and if they don't get eaten quickly, which is very unlikely, they keep for a while too.

Waitrose fresh cream Yule log. Don't normally get a Yule log. But this was devine. Although a monstrous size and doesn't seem to be going anywhere despite how many people we give it to

I second the sainsbury's turkey. I chose a free range organic one. Was 43 pounds and only fed 5 to 6 but would definitely buy it again. Never tasted a Turkey like it before.

We had the M&S Woodland Yule Log.
It was delicious.
It got rotten, undeserved reviews on the M&S website.
It's beautifully decorated and lovely and moist.
Yes, it's expensive but as a treat it went down very well with our family.
