Will shop accept return with photo of receipt?

My sister gave me a jumper for Christmas, I’d bought the exact same jumper a couple of weeks ago so wanted to take the duplicate back for a refund/exchange.

I haven’t got a physical receipt but have got a photo of the receipt from when I bought the jumper. Would the shop accept a photo instead of an actual receipt?

I checked on the website and the jumper is now half price in the sale so don’t know if they would give me full price without any proof of purchase still?

Unlikely, it could be anyone's receipt rather than for the actual jumper you have in your hand.
Can't your sister send it to you? Or do you still have yours?
She chose right for you though Grin

If it's got the last 4 digits of your card number on it you'd probably be Ok?

I didn’t have a receipt for something the other day, I’d opted for one to be emailed but it never turned up, fortunately I paid via Apple Pay, the shop was able to trace my receipt and I got full refund.

They may give you an exchange for the full price rather than a refund but the problem with a photo is that the shop can't score out on the actual receipt that it has been used for a refund and that you no longer have that item. Thus they could say you or anyone else could use the original receipt to gain another full refund for a jumper bought for half price or stolen.
