I declare this year's biggest Christmas let down is ...

Gin and Tonic After Eights. They taste almost exactly like regular After Eights and (importantly) not at all like Gin or Tonic. Don't get me wrong, I'll still eat them because I quite like After Eights, it's just not what I was expecting.

I've got some but not opened yet. 🙂

I had a Disappointing Orange earlier. Dry and a bit sour. Oranges are like the Shroedinger's Cat of the fruit family, the fuckers.

My blue cheese. It promised creamy blue cheese. Instead it is slightly sour and strong and tangy. I like strong cheeses but this is a funky foot kind of cheese.

The wine. I had to drop off my SIL (in our bubble) so couldn't drink until I got back home just before 7pm.

I'd looked foreword to it all day but it tasted revolting. Oh well.

Chocolate orange French fancies - tasted like soap.
Ordinary after eights tasted like toothpaste.
And the lemon tart tasted lovely until I looked at the use by date.

Aldi chocolate log. Sickly and yuk.

M&S Prawn and smoked salmon Appetizers. Pretty tasteless. I wish we had stuck to the usual prawn cocktai. Also £15. for five tiny pots.

Yes, oranges are sneaky bastards, hiding behind their peel and pretending to be juicy until it's too late for you to back out and choose an apple instead.

The local shop stopped selling danablu. I'm immensely disappointed...
