Anyone else realised they have forgotten something?

I forgot to buy the Gammon DC wanted as they are not too keen on turkey.

Thank you. I can't believe I forgot.

Orange juice for the Buck’s Fizz we were planning to indulge in whilst opening presents and parsnips, which are my favourite part of a roast dinner..

Our dog will need a walk first thing so will swing by the petrol station shop which is open and see if they can provide either!

I'm on my own Christmas day night and I've not got any treat food in 😔

Lots of wine though.

I may have to order from one of the takeaways that are open, assuming I'm not too full from dinner to fuss. I will give the delivery driver a huge tip.

Buck’s Fizz without OJ is champagne!! That seems not so bad. Enjoy :-)

Cranberry sauce!

I've also just thought I don't remember unpacking the stuffing from the shopping bags... But I'm sure I bought some 🤔

actiongirl1978 · 25/12/2020 04:51

I haven't wrapped the dog and the puppy's presents. Puppy has been with us a week.

DC are 10 and 12 and this will upset the 10yr old.

In my defence I was up late with the puppy, then the 10yr old got in with us as he felt sick with excitement. And I have had the worst period pains in Years so it took till 1am to fall asleep with my hot water bottle and I'm up again now feeling ill, trying not to wake DC or puppy or big dog. I've just swallowed a dry paracetamol on desperation!

So I'm hoping that I can save the day by swiping the dog presents from the cupboard when I go down to 'toilet the puppy' at 6am while DC are being held upstairs before checking if he has been Grin

To leave something out for Santa, christmas pjs as non essential retail closed early forgot to order some for us all

PotterHead1985 · 25/12/2020 05:06

Totally random but I had a good 10min panic of what the Heck happened to the vinegar i KNEW I had bought.

Shoved it far in the cupboard was the answer!!!

I'm sure I have forgotten something but as yet it remains undiscovered

YayGlitter · 25/12/2020 05:29

I got all the christmas stuff but I forgot to buy cat food. I may get eaten.

marriednotdead · 25/12/2020 05:34

I forgot to buy any sausages or bacon for DP to have a fry up while he’s off work, he’s been out at 5am every morning and was apparently really looking forward to it.
Guess who will be having pigs in blankets for Christmas breakfast Xmas Grin

Did the chocolate coins this morning and need to buy bread sauce, hopefully I can find some somewhere.

I'm at my MIL's house in rural Spain until Sunday (we live in Spain, all local covid regulations followed in case anyone's worried), and I HAVE BROUGHT NO TEABAGS.

ImnotCarolineHirons · 25/12/2020 11:23

Realised this morning the dog's dry kibble supply is rather lower than I thought. Was due days ago on an Amazon order but god knows where it is/when it will eventually arrive.

He may have to have just extra wet food and maybe some scrambled eggs for Boxing Day. He'll be fucking delighted cos it's his fav and that will make his Christmas!!

ImnotCarolineHirons · 25/12/2020 11:24

@LaMadrilena drive home immediately! It's a survival issue! Grin

It's easy enough to make if you can't find it.
TheSilveryPussycat · 25/12/2020 11:47

Graphista I think it should be fine. In my younger days I used to make sage and onion stuffing from scratch, though I usually bought a more exotic Christmas stuffing. And I also used to make bread sauce from scratch

Graphista · 25/12/2020 22:42

@LaMadrilena now that IS an emergency! Flight home to get some ASAP!

I have quite a few family and friends that live overseas I've gone through the list in my head and literally can't think of one of those households that doesn't have tea bags sent regularly from the Uk. Not one.

@TheSilveryPussycat I have tried to make from scratch it simply doesn't taste quite the same no idea why. I just prefer the paxo
